ChildCare Education Institute (CCEI) is the leading distance training provider in the child care industry and is Accredited by the Accrediting Commission of the Distance Education and Training Council. CCEI provides child care staff with a pathway for professional development, education and certification goals. A student can start with individual professional development courses, move into a certificate program and articulate coursework into a degree program with one of our college partners.

To-date, CCEI has provided over 310,000 hours of online coursework and has graduated more than 2,900 early childhood professionals from certificate programs. CCEI maintains excellent student satisfaction scores and 99.4% of students say they would recommend CCEI to others.

CCEI offers over 100 online professional development courses, plus online certificate course of study programs, such as the Child Development Associate (CDA). CCEI is approved by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) to award IACET Continuing Education Units (CEUs). CCEI coursework is delivered through a learning management system that provides user-friendly enrollment, easy access to courses, and a self-paced, engaging online learning environment for students. The self-paced format and 24/7 accessibility, allow students to maintain a family-work balance while still continuing their education. Coursework is competency-based, which facilitates information retention and CCEI offers courses in both English and Spanish.

Individual professional development courses offered by CCEI cover topics pertinent to the child care industry. Course categories include Health and Safety, Nutrition and Food Service, Child Development, Classroom Management, Guidance and Discipline, and many others. Each one hour course is granted 0.1 CEU. CCEI’s offering of online certificate programs includes several options that meet the 120 hour training requirement of the Council for Professional Recognition’s Child Development Associate (CDA), CDA Renewal, Florida Child Care Professional’s Credential (FCCPC), a Director’s Certificate, and many state specific certificate programs. Programs are designed to meet the varying needs of students. While programs are self-paced, CCEI programs also provide access to an Education Coach and Technical Help Desk to deliver assistance, encouragement and feedback throughout the program.
