Program Description: The Online Food Service & Food Safety Certificate provides basic guidelines and recommendations for planning and serving healthy, safe meals in the child care environment. Core content includes nutritional and serving guidelines for the USDA’s Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) as well as comprehensive information on sanitation, hygiene, and safe selection, storage, preparation, and handling of food and equipment. This program is designed for food services staff or anyone responsible for planning and/or preparing meals and snacks for young children.
