Online Child Care Orientation CertificateSettings : Infant/Toddler or Preschool or School-Age Textbook Information: No textbook is required to complete this certificate program. Program Description: The Online Child Care Orientation Certificate provides 11 clock hours of professional development for early childhood professionals just entering the early childhood education field. The program focuses on the core knowledge areas of Health and Safety, the Prevention of Child Abuse, Developmentally Appropriate Practice, Parent Communication, Nutrition, and Brain Development and Early Learning. Each student in the Online Child Care Orientation Certificate program receives support from an Education Coach (EC). Each EC is an Early Childhood specialist and has previous experience working in a child care center or school. Program Objectives: Upon satisfactorily completing the Online Child Care Orientation Certificate program, students should be able to:
